New Year's Day Hike 2015

​SARTWC members look forward to their annual New Year's Day hike, with a different trail selected each year. Non-members are welcome to join the team members to meet and greet.  Leashed and mannerly dogs are welcome join as well. For more info, please email us at sartwc@gmail.com

K9 Team successfully completes evaluation

​Reyna and her K9 Zackie-O earned the status of an Active Trailing Team with SARTWC when they recently successfully passed the SARTWC Basic Evaluation. The trail they worked in suburban Belvidere included passing a number of incorrect subjects that the team had to rule out. Zackie-O almost sat on the lap of her seated subject in her excitement to find her!

K9 Team successfully completes evaluation

​Rob and his K9 Merlin successfully passed the SARTWC Basic Evaluation to gain the title of Active Status as a trailing dog team. They worked a trail in suburban Hackettstown that was over 4 hours old and close to a mile long in the summer heat. Merlin was very excited to find the missing subject at the end of the trail! 

K9 Team Earns AMPWDA Certification

​Sara and Simber traveled to the AMPWDA Training Conference in Pennsylvania for Human Remains Detection (HRD) training. While they were there, they were offered the opportunity to take the certification evaluation for a Level 2 Trailing certification. The team had previously earned their Level 1 Trailing certification in Indiana last October. Trailing is their specialty and they accepted the opportunity. One mile later they learned they had successfully completed the one hour old trail! Congratulations to them both!
